In life few things are as powerful as listening to someone like Marium (not her real name) share their story. She grew up in Pakistan with strict Muslim parents. What she wanted most was for her father to accept and love her… but he didn’t. In order to go to high school, Marium’s father coerced her into joining a radical Islamic organization, of which there are many in Pakistan.

PROVE YOUR LOVE FOR ALLAH

This particular Islamic group taught her that she had to do everything Allah commanded. During her teaching sessions she was told that whoever would give their life for Allah, Allah would fully repay, and even their parents would get into Heaven.

So strong was her desire to have her father’s approval that she raised her hand and volunteered to die as a suicide bomber, thinking surely then her father would approve of her. Her death would guarantee her father’s place in heaven.

She was excited as she told her parents she had volunteered for ‘jihad’. Upon hearing this their reaction was one filled with joy and celebration!! After all, everyone is going to die someday, but to die for Allah brings great honour and privilege.

TWO DAYS BEFORE HER SUICIDE MISSION

God had another plan for Marium. Two days before her suicide mission she had a dream that she was in great darkness, in a graveyard. Suddenly, a bright light appeared. The light had hands, arms and a face. Was this a man made of light?

Three times the man of light told Marium to follow Him. He told her “I am the way and the truth and the life.” She even saw in her dream this man of light raising a dead person out of a grave and bringing him to life!… Then she woke up.

Marium could not stop thinking about the dream. Shortly after, she met a Christian man who explained that Islam couldn’t give her salvation, even proving it from the Quran. The man interpreted her dream and showed her John 14:6 “I am the way and the truth and the life”. Upon hearing and then seeing the words of Jesus with her own eyes, Marium was reduced to tears.

“I WAS SUCH A BAD GIRL AND GOD CAME TO SAVE MY LIFE” SHE SAID. “I WAS GOING TO KILL HIS PEOPLE, BUT HE CAME TO SAVE MY LIFE AND MY SOUL TOO.”

BE PART OF A MIRACLE

This extraordinary true story of Marium is something we want to see happen over and over in the Muslim world. We want to reach as many Marium’s as possible.

In less than 2 weeks our Standing Strong Apologetic Seminar will be held in central Pakistan. For 2 powerful days, over 300 young adults will be presented with the claims of Christ. Some will be Muslim or Hindu, and others will be nominal Christians and true followers.
